DominoesAn interactive whiteboard resource to support any investigations using dominoes. In particular this resource was created to support classroom use of puzzles included in a book by Henry Ernest Dudeney in 1917. Books this old are in the public domain and so their contents can be distributed and built upon freely. Random Student NameRandom Student Name is a tool for randomly selecting students from your class. It will select in an unbiased fashion and without repetition until all members have been selected. Typically Random Student Name is used for deciding 'who will answer the next question', or for dividing your class into random pairs or teams for group work. At the beginning of the school year teachers can set their class list (up to 32 students). Random student name is easy to edit when students need to be added or taken from your class list. It is also easy to temporarily omit a student from the list in the case of students which may be absent on a particular day. Word-WiseWordwise is a vocabulary building game. Students must guess the mystery word and call it out. The teacher slowly gives the students more 'hints' by showing additional letters. It can sometimes be noisy but it is always fun. Word-wise is an easy-to-edit PowerPoint file consisting of a cover sheet, instructions, some examples and a master sheet.
